Can anyone tell me how long after the war ended did Mal buy Serenity and more importantly, can anyone guess how long it was from the war until Jayne joined the crew?

I appreciate any help, guesses, theories, speculation you can give me!

Who could really call this work? It's our mutual love here, and the convenience of a place to post and share the things we enjoy. It's not going out of our way.
