Questions:
Why is Rachael such an integral part of BB, yet she gets tossed out with the trash in DK?
And where did the "As a symbol, I can be incorruptible" thing get turned into "He can do what I can't" schpeal?
I see these as major symptoms of sequelitus.

Well, Katie quit, but they needed the character. Gyllenhaal bears a bit of a resemblance to Holmes, and is a far better actress. They did their best with an awkward situation.

she bears a resemblance? Cause she has dark hair? I am sorry NOT a fan of Miss Gyllenhal and think she took away from rather than enhanced the movie. They should have gone for a better no name choice.

Yeah, I think there's a resemblence. The hair, complections, the nose and to a lesser extent, eyes. And it's not like a said they're twins, I said "a bit of a resemblence".
And you may not like her, but she is regarded by many as one of the better actresses out there (actress, not movie star) these days. Judging by the success of the film, I doubt anyone regrets casting her.
