So while all the Liberals in the RWE board are masturbating to the new administration, I thought it would be a good idea to check into some upcoming movies. My picks are:

Twilight
21 November 08
http://www.twilightthemovie.com/
This looks really good, for some reason, I’m not sure why. But damn, the last time I saw Kristen Stewart she was doing Disney, but now she’s all grown up and hot as hell.

The Day the Earth Stood Still.
12 December 08
http://www.thedaytheearthstoodstillmovie.com/
The whole mother earth angle is a little hackneyed, but other then that it looks pretty cool.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
23 January 09
http://www.entertheunderworld.com/
This was the sequel that the sequel was supposed to be – the story of how the war between the Lycans and the Vampires came to be. Unfortunately, there’s no Selene and no Kate Beckinsale. While I really like the first Underworld, the second wasn’t as good, and I’m not sure about this one.

The Watchman
6 March 09
http://watchmenmovie.warnerbros.com/
This looks pretty good. I’m not real familiar with the graphic novel, but the trailer is cool.

The Race to Witch Mountain
13 March 09
http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/racetowitchmountain/
So some of you weren’t around in the 70 to appreciate the Escape to Witch Mountain [ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072951/ ] but I was little kid in those days, so I have fond memories of that show, cheesy though it may have been – it was still charming. This new version should be much less cheesy, I expect.

Star Trek
8 May 09
http://www.startrekmovie.com/
Okay, so finally we’re back to making the real Star Trek. Sure I like Captain Picard, but nothing replaces Kirk, Spock and McCoy.

2012
10 July 09
Not sure about the plot here, but I expect the world ends.

I wonder what the late Gene Rodenberry would think of this "NEW" STAR TREK? He saw it has a western set in space.

Watchmen will be good (the graphic novel is excellent), Klatu will rock, & Trek will be mildly entertaining- those are my picks.

Watchmen (not The Watchman) is the only one of those titles I have any interest in. I might catch Star Trek if reviews are good enough but the trailers are underwhelming.

What ever became of that lil chick from Witch Mountain ? Back in the day, she was a cutie. How'd time treat her, I wonder.

It was Nicto I believe.

Maybe if Jon Hamm was playing Klaatu I'd be interested, but Keanu...? Nope, doesn't do it for me.

She hasn't done much since the 80s, but apparently she's gonna have a cameo in the new flick.
