Ok so, F-X, i want ALL OF DRIVE incl PIlot, The unscreened Serenity Pilot, The Buffy Pilot - oh and a heap of stuff.

Basically people need to tell F-X that if they wanna protect their copyright then they best put these out - otherwise they can be legitimately bootlegged!!!:)

and i'd buy em!!

(glibbly skipping the difficult legalise but hell if this aint something to ponder on at least!)

Btw, just because something doesn't have a copyright (assuming you're right), it doesn't mean that the producers have to release it. Also, since the producers still own it, there will be a plethora of other laws that would protect that property.

Is this actually some Firefly that I haven't seen before??? The unaired pilot, why isn't this like front page stuff???

Or...am I getting my hopes up and this isn't really that big of a deal?

Not me. Too much tension because of Mal being an a**hole (Joss seems to have confused "dark" with "a**hole" there). This also had several other implications elsewhere that would have lead to a *much* less humoured version of the show. Less wit, etc. So, for me, the unaired pilot is very much inferior to the aired. It's one of the very *very* few places where I actually agree with F*X (namely the changes they wanted from unaired to aired pilot).
