I've called everyone I can think of for donations and have a few promises. And now we're begging you, the people reading this LJ. Can you spare anything, even just $5? It will add up. The two males will cost us $40 each, and the three females just $70 each, so we need just $290 to save them. Under $300 to save five lives!!!!!

Amazin' mornin' stats VOMP!

The missus and I put in 21 total votes on our IP, yesterday, including Bonanza, BSG, Buffy, Jericho, Angel, Babylon 5, Ponderosa, Dark Shadows, Blood Ties, all our friends with whom we share our success. We're on a sprint for the finish, Browncoats! Let's make sure the whole team gets across the finish line!

Many thanks to those Big Damn Heroes who are adding votes for Ponderosa and Bonanza! Bonanza, in particular, was fallin' short of the totals they were gonna need to reach their goal of 500k; now, they stand to make their goal, with our help (which our new westerns friends are graciously returning). It's the neighborly thing to do, and all it costs is an additional click or two when you vote. It'll give us a little something extra to share in celebrating when the Poll ends. Xie-xie!

Less than 3 weeks remain to vote, and Firefly is now 3 days AHEAD of schedule!

An estimated 15.06 (19.32) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting.

Votes went up SHARPLY, yesterday, resulting in the sharp reduction of time left in the Poll. This is one of two things: Either it is a singular anomaly, and we can expect a corresponding drop in votes, tomorrow, or TV Vote has gone to the next level, and we're on the fast track to the finish. Time will tell!

Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 18,885 (20,340) votes, and 12.98 (17.38) days away! We need to maintain a daily average of 1,181 (1,130) votes for the balance of the Poll to stay on track. At this point, every vote we fail to cast is lost forever; we won't always have "tomorrow" to make it up!

Let's keep up the hard burn, show everyone our Browncoat Fan Power, and clinch our final milestone!

We got our next banner, for 730,000 votes, today! Shiny as canned goods what still have their labels on 'em! Worth noting that a record NINE shows shared today's banner!

#5 show Battlestar Galactica got 597 (479) votes, not receiving enough votes to pass #4 show Gunsmoke by the end of the Poll.

The Colonials need urgent help, if they are to advance again before the Poll ends! Please lend 'em a hand!

#6 show Buffy the Vampire Slayer got 805 (620) votes, yesterday, not receiving enough votes to pass #5 show BSG by the end of the Poll. Buffy's numbers are still sufficient to hold off #7 show Farscape.

In short, no.

By way of explanation, my estimates always factor in current rates of voting for EVERYBODY. So, even with all the votes being cast in both the Top 40 and Nominations Polls, Firefly is well ahead of schedule to make 750k votes by the end of the Poll, even with today's rather startling decrease in projected days remaining (of which I am still not convinced).

Plus, believe it or not, Firefly still receives a hefty amount of support from the very shows we might otherwise "cut loose." Aside from my conviction that we should stick by our friends, simply 'cause we're Browncoats, if everybody all of the sudden starting going it alone we'd ALL be screwed.

So, please, keep giving Red Dwarf your noms (or start, if you haven't!), keep supporting our friends in the voting coalition, even keep voting for those extra few little shows you just feel like voting for. It's all good. If austerity measures suddenly seem to be called for, it might come down to individual conscience, but I think we can get where we want to be, and help our friends get there, too!
