(Reposted from previous thread:)

Delayed mornin' stats VOMP!

I know they're not contributing members of our cooperative, but if anybody wanted to do a personal favor for the missus and me, I'd take it kindly if anyone cared to throw some votes Ponderosa's and Bonanza's way. Bonanza, in particular, is fallin' short of the totals they're gonna need to reach their goal of 500k. Just sayin' that it'd be the neighborly thing to do to help 'em out. Xie-xie!

Firefly is still AHEAD of schedule, but losing ground on daily votes!

(Statistics in parentheses are previous day's stats, for comparison purposes)

Based on RL's announcement that he will end the Polls when the combined total votes between the Top 40 and the Nominations reaches 10 million (but no later than January 2, 2009), 30.99 (31.46) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting (as with everything else in this Poll, this time will fluctuate).

Let's review Firefly's TV Vote goals and achievements:

1. We've been the #1 show in the Poll since August 17th, 2007, when we passed Xena. We had tremendous numbers, in those days, with daily totals in the 1,500s and up. No one will pass us in TV Vote.

2. Our ultimate goal, 750,000, is 33,651 (34,839) votes, and 28.33 (28.82) days away! We're on-target, and need to maintain a daily average of 1,086 (1,089) votes to stay on track.

3. Firefly holds the record for consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes, 75, cut short only by the Lexx autovote scandal last October, which shut down the Poll for about a week.

4. Firefly is 172,936 (172,326) votes ahead of Xena, more than the vote total of #16 show Doctor Who 172,318. That puts us at 2,064 (2,674) votes away from a 175,000 vote lead, about 3.38 (4.08) days, based on current voting. We still don't hold the highest lead of a show over its closest competition. That distinction currently belongs to Bonanaza, with a lead of 174,129 (173,985) over Gunsmoke. We'll soon have that tied up.

5. Firefly's share of the Top 40 voting pie remains at 9%. Again, this unique achievement is essentially unassailable, but until recently, our percentage had been slipping. Let's keep the votes up, and our share of the pie!

6. The one record which has eluded us is most votes in a single day. Xena holds that record, dating back to March 30, 2007: 2,803. Firefly topped out on March 7, 2007: 2,359. We could still beat Xena's total, but it would take better than doubling our current best daily vote totals to do it. It's still worth thinking about!

Let's keep up the hard burn, show everyone our Browncoat Fan Power, maintain our records, and clinch our final milestone!

ALL three links work for voting, so if you have trouble, you can try an alternate address instead.

You can vote for more as many Top 40 shows as you like, once every hour. You can only nominate one show per hour, at:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations.html

Download the FlyVote voting timer, a NEW version of the program. It'll remind you when it's time to vote, each hour: http://usbmicro.com/misc

Votes are counted per network IP, so, don't go to the library or your office and vote hourly on each computer on the subnet, or all votes will be thrown out; multiple votes on rotating IPs will likewise be rejected.

Top two shows as of this morning:

Total votes Firefly: 716,349 (715,161)

Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,188 (1,209) times, 21 fewer than the previous day. Not the direction we want our votes to trend, Browncoats! We lost a day off our lead, yesterday, as our votes dropped.

Total votes Xena: 543,413 (542,835)

Yesterday, Xenites voted 578 (554) times, 24 more than the previous day.

(Xenites voted 610 (655) times fewer than Browncoats, yesterday.)

We'll get our next banner, for 720,000 votes, in another 3,651 (4,839) votes, and 3.07 (4) days!

7,862,884 (7,848,011) Top 40 votes have been counted as of 07/17/08. Yesterday, 14,873 (15,255) votes were c

Vump and a nom for Red Dwarf. I've been sending some love Bonanza's way but am unaware of Ponderosa other than it was the name of the Cartwight's ranch near Kansas City.
