Y'all make like it's important or something- I think the word obsession applies here. There's a whole WORLD out there, yet y'all come here to talk and talk and talk about an old TV show/movie. I don't get it. I mean, sure I like it too, but really, I don't LIVE it!! I've only seen each ep like 12 times now, and the movie over 45, but that doesn't mean I'm obsessed like y'all...that's only, let me do the math here...90 hours for the movie...120 hours for the show...see, that's only 210 hours I've spent on this thing, and that's hardly....uh...like, uh, nine days..., so see...

Hmmmmm...

Maybe I need some gorram help

Sorry to hear of your lament (?) but Firefly's league hardly rates as mere entertainment. It's a view of what real freedom would be like (freedom being something no one on this rock really has or fully understands). It's a view unlike anything we'll ever be able to achieve that's for sure.

Entertainment?! Harumph! More like a waking dream to me. Well, other than for the food......

As for me, I think that any time anyone uses the terms "only" or "just" or "merely" entertainment in reference to Firefly, they are the ones in need of help, not those they are addressing.
