Any B3 alums out there?
It would be great to get together and reminisce.
Thus, if you are planning to attend (or thinking of attending) Creation Entertainment's Salute to Serenity November 22-23, 2008 [ http://www.creationent.com/cal/serenity.htm] let us know. I've communicated with James Riley, President of the Californial Browncoats, [ www.socalbrowncoats.com www.californiabrowncoats.org] who along with his California colleagues helped craft the wonder of B3.
If there is interest, we'll plan a mighty fine shindig to think back on our own Serenity Valley two years ago--where the Independents won! :)
Could be just drinks, or perhaps a trip to Universal or Hollywood.
Let us know.

It will be wonderful to be back in Burbank!
(something I never thought I would say prior to B3). :D

Me! Me! I'm going! Actually I was meaning to take a little tour of the Torrance High School and a slow drive by of Buffy's house....
but of course going to Universal would be cool too.
(and I always love Disneyland)
So, are you thinking about before or after? Cause I don't want to miss out on Adam, Jewell, and Ron (and anyone else who ends up coming) during the convention....

Hi, Embers.
Wonderful to hear from you.
I remember you well.
I am planning on "before" the Convention.
I am flying out Thursday Nov. 20th with my nigh 20 year old daughter (who is excited at possibly meeting "Jayne" ). My hope is that Friday day and/or evening will be time for a B3 reunion event--or just a shared meal and drinks.

After Comic Con, I'll be in touch with James to see what we may do. All ideas are welcome. Check back for updates.

I had asked the local Browncoats (many of whom had been at B3) if they would be going to Creation, and many said they would be buying one day tickets later, when the schedule is announced. I imagine the same is true of the LA Browncoats....
so if we revive this thread in mid-November, and/or post at the yahoo group here:

we'll get a better idea of who'll be there.

I'm pretty sure we'll be able to get a fairly big group together, but regardless I'll be driving down on Friday and would love to meet up for dinner w/you & your daughter... but I can come down a day earlier if there is a shindig of any sort planned.

I'm looking forward to getting Adam to autograph the photo of the two of us taken at B3!

Yes. I purchased a photo op with Adam for my 20 year old daughter whose accompanying me this year. She loves his bad boy image (Oy!).

I wasn't at B3 but did watch everything unfold online and had friends who were there - but I'm coming over for the con from Oz - I'll be in LA from Mon 17th to the 24th so if anything gets organised for before the con I'd be interested in hearing about it - so long as you don't mind "outsiders" being involved :)

I was not at B3, (sorry, late bloomer) but it would still be awesome to sit down and have a drink with you all if I'm able to attend this November. Anyone still willing to meet?

My daughter was a "late bloomer"/post B3 convert as well.
So no apologies required.
You are absolutely welcome.
I've been in touch with James, Prez of the SoCal Browncoats today. He has a wedding event Friday night (a blessing upon blessings), so Thursday night or Saturday night after the con are the times he can join us.
My daughter and I will be flying in late Thursday afternoon from Maine, so we'll likely be jet-lagged, but if Thursday night is better for you all, we'll tough it out.
We'll be around Friday as well if you and Embers and any other B3 alumni or "virtual" alumni (

just love this) want to toast B3 and the current con or Jayne or the Mudders....

That's cool. It still depends on what's going on at work whether I head out there or not. I've got plenty of flyer-miles racked up to get out there free, just need to get projects out the door... The night for me, personally, would be Saturday if any.
