Detecting Extrasolar, Earth-mass Worlds

Just a quip on Earth sized M class planets, they are out there and in great numbers, just waiting for our technology to catch up and prove it.

In order for us to become what we were meant to be, a Space Faring Civilization, we need to keep pursuing all this research to include the search for Extrasolar planets. We also need to not only become better at achieving orbit but get beyond it sooner than the current national plan. We know how, we just need to encourage out of the box thinking like Zubrin and Bakers idea for Mars Direct and someone enthusiastic and well resourced to give the cause a kick in the pants.
