What not many people know is that Lincoln, Grant, Sherman, Douglas, etal we're all sluggers for the All Star Northern Blue Stockings team. They beat the Dixie Cotton Ballers led by their ace pitcher Roberty Lee 1 run to nothing in extra innings. Center fielder Stonewall Jackson got his famous nickname when he knocked himself silly when he hit his head against the outfield wall trying to snag the winning run. Then Johnnie came marching home carrying a commemorative pennant and his program with a half filled in score card.

This should all be in your "History of Sports Medicine" textbook. Don't look so surprised, I said it was going to be on the test.

You know I only study on the eve of the test, what made you think I was going to change that?

Y'know, the baseball metaphor is one that will always endear me to it's author, so Yay Daveshayne, yeah! He's got a Kinsella soul, whether he knows this or not.

In other news, I wish for Mai & Citizen hundreds of fat children, but only relative to the commensurate child tax credits. What with rising prices for food, you may want to consider a balance of negative numbers of children....

Stumbled upon this story about a ghostly image that some are claiming to be of aliens. http://www.nbc10.com/slideshows/15663013/detail.html# Personally they look like turtles to me. Ok, not regular turtles. I'm talking mutant turtles. Teenage mutant turtles. Perhaps with some shadowy martial arts training. Teenage mutant ninja turtles. (I'm guessing Raphael and Donatello) Clearly it's some sort of sign. But what could it mean? What is Splinter trying to tell us?
