I went to my first meeting at the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (LASFS) on Thursday, April 3rd...

I wore my CSTS 2007 T-shirt under a thick flannel shirt, so only a little of it was visible, yet I was instantly outed as a Browncoat and welcomed heartily!

You get to attend 3 meetings for free before they assume you must like it there, but they were nice enough to allow me, as a guest, to stand up and make an announcement at the appropriate time...

"Ummmm, I realize this is my first visit here..."

From the podium, "That's all right!"

"...but I just wanted everyone to know that the Universal HD channel is beginning a new cycle of Firefly airings this Saturday..."

I could swear I heard an "Ooh!" from somewhere.

A guy to my left, "So it's going to be shown in HD?"

"Yep! So, if any of you get the Universal HD channel, check your listings."

I got very sincere Thank you's from a few.

I wasn't able to go to last week's meeting, but the Minutes (which they call "Menace") from the April 3rd meet were just posted online...

Ruttin' hell! I thought I'd been quite clear where it was airing... and it's NOT Fox!

I so hope everybody else heard me correctly!

Chris, I watched The Train Job last Saturday on Uni/HD.... very sparkle-ly.... (and i mean that in a good way)

Also, the promos for Firefly on Universal/HD are pretty cool. I wonder if FOX ran the same promos when the series originally aired.... I don't remember them if they did - I can't help but think that if FOX had done half the job promoting FF as Universal - then maybe this great show would have had a better chance with multiple seasons....

I second your recommendation for watching Universal/HD... some other pretty good programing there as well.

Crisis averted!
I finally got the guy recording the Minutes to make the change...
