Well, Jstn, I'm grateful for your help with Firefly and Dark Shadows; I just feel a little self-conscious havin' you cast nomination votes for Moonlight when you're up against the Golden Girls. But, if you can spare 'em, sure, your help with Moonlight would be greatly appreciated! It's still a bit of a haul, yet, to get ML into the Top 40, and, every vote counts.

THough I'd like to see a lot of fine programs in the nominations, Hercules can't get on with 56,000 noms pretty much spells no hope for any of the low voted noms.

That's like saying there's no point voting for any show that isn't Firefly. 39 other Top 40 shows, whose fandoms know they'll never catch us, still vie for the best position they can get, enjoying the thrill of passing other shows, when they can, as well as holding off rising rivals.

In the Nominations, it's a lot the same way. I've been enjoying the progress some of the Noms shows have been making as they move upward, even though, mathematically, they will never get into the Top 40. They can still shoot for the Top 100, Top 50, even Top 20 of the Noms, with a decent chance of getting there.

So, I'll keep nom'ing, and, encouraging those who do likewise, just like I'll keep holding on for more of the 'Verse VUMP!

Mornin' everyone.

Got up early and started VOMing.

The reminder just came up so I Nom'd Moonlight this time. Will do John Doe again next time.

As Ray knows, I finally got that mass email out to everyone signed up at my site.

No way to know hoaw many will join, but at least a few have as of last night. Watch Surface start to climb that list now.

Look out Golden Girls, you ancient old biddys, you. LOLOLOL

I really appreciate the help with the Noms for Surface.

I agree that 50,000 votes looks like an impossible goal, but the thing is with dedication, and by picking up more help, all the while, the numbers start to add up.

When we did another voting poll last year, Surface was way down the list, but ended up holding 3rd place against Xena and Lost, which was at it's peak of popularity, at the time.

It can be done. A few shows at a time, and before you know it, the Noms are in the multiple thousands. Consistancy and dedication are the keys.

It also helps to have a great guy like Ray, leading the charge.

I really appreciate the help with the Noms for Surface.

I agree that 50,000 votes looks like an impossible goal, but the thing is with dedication, and by picking up more help, all the while, the numbers start to add up.

When we did another voting poll last year, Surface was way down the list, but ended up holding 3rd place against Xena and Lost, which was at it's peak of popularity, at the time.

It can be done. A few shows at a time, and before you know it, the Noms are in the multiple thousands. Consistancy and dedication are the keys.

It also helps to have a great guy like Ray, leading the charge.

Hi folks. Sorry I'm late checking in, but I couldn't get logged in. Not sure how I got logged out, actually.

Anyway, i wanted to thanks you for your help yesterday. With the new people who came on board we got a record 57 Nom's That's 57 more votes for Firefly as well.

Now, if I can just keep the momentum up.

I woke up late today so i'm gonna concentrate on Surface noms for a while, but I'll be back to assisting with the other shows soon, as well. I wish I could track how Surface was doing during the course of the day, then I might feel freer to Nom for other shows, more often.

River - So sorry you have caught the bug. You know, I was railing about getting the flu shot before you guys caught this nasty-assed bug.

So, you steal Vera back. And when you get her back, you dis-assemble her, copy all the parts, and make a Vera for your own. If it's possible to do that with guns- I wouldn't know.

And I don't think it's that flu bug you got- it's a lot better now that I've drank some tea and ate some soup- yes, it's alot more benificial aten than rubbed into hair lol

My noming reasoning is this- about 75% Moonlight, since they're so close to the top and if we can get them up, those noming for Moonlight can just vote for Moonlight and concentrate on noming other shows. I approx. 20% Surface and 5% John Doe, because you're both low, but I'm getting Surface above Golden Girls at least, and then I'll concentrate on John.
I'm not noming Red Dwarf a lot, though I nom it sometimes, but Red seems to be doing fine without my help.

Me, I wimped out on goin' out in the weather, earlier; spent the day readin' a download of Steven Brust's Firefly novel, My Own Kind of Freedom:

NO spoilers, but, the story is set between the end of Firefly and the Serenity movie, and, is pretty well done. I'd grade it a B-. The characters are pretty well-presented (though, for obvious reasons, the crew is short one shepherd and one companion), and, if you remember that this was almost certainly written before "Those Left Behind" was available, it fits fairly well into the timeline.

Thanks to everyone just for votin', at all, and, especially for the support of Firefly (of course!) and, Dark Shadows. I think it's great that some of the Nominee shows are gettin' some love on this thread, too, and, I love watchin' those totals rise. I do what I can, coupla times a day, to help the nominees other folks are boostin', and, I'm grateful for the help with Moonlight. If ML gets just a few more votes, today, than yesterday, it can pass the next two shows tomorrrow, instead of Friday.
