Will Summer ever play a 'normal' character ?

I hope our deal mei mei isn't getting type cast. Her Terminator character is sounding more and more 'River-ish' .

What for? The entire cast of Firefly kept saying they had no idea what those lines of River's where supposed to be, they made no sense, and had no clue how they could be delivered - but Summer always found a way for them to make sense.
If these are roles that are hard to cast, more power to Summer. There had to be a bunch of casting decisions for TTSCC, they didn't just flip a coin.
She has many years to work on other roles. Hope she's making a buttload of cash - then she can pick roles that don't pay well.

she played the girlfriend of a soldier (who was played by her boyfriend)living in a trailer park and having problems with love and money and other things. Now is that the normal you were looking for?

By my calculations, and I couldn't think of a better way to state it than normal and fantasy:

Angel, Firefly, Serenity, The 4400 and Terminator are NON-NORMAL roles in FANTASY scenarios.

Mammoth and Initiation Of Sarah are NORMAL roles in FANTASY scenarios.

Cold Case, Sleepover, CSI and The Unit are NORMAL roles in NORMAL scenarios.

So yes, most of her work has been in a fantasy type setting, so typecasting may be a problem later. But that all depends on her choices and how others perceive her acting abilities. We know she can act but it needs the bosses and casting people to realise this. The Unit was a step in the right direction.

I stated in another post that I would really like to see her in some kind of high emotion drama. Take the reaction she gets from people on this board about her emotional stuff in FF and then place it in a real life setting. She'd be breaking hearts all over again.

She already has some good exposure thanks to Terminator. Just the brand name alone will get people interested in it and hopefully finding out who she is. If the show is a success (fingers crossed) then it will only get better for her.

And I gotta go with BadKarma. If she's in it, I'm watching it.
