I finally got a full version of this game: Freelancer.

.........because I heard there were some MODs to make it play like Firefly.

There are some similarities..... but, the reason for my post:

Where are there MODs for this game.
Are there still multi-player servers online?

So far my searches come up empty.
Freelancer Universe?
