Hello, everyone! The subject says it all. Any help (and sarcasm) appreciated.

If you go to the home page, and look at all the links near the top, there's one that says Blue Sun Room (or something similar), and you click on that, and then to the left there will be more links, that say Add... fanfic, image, filk, etc. Just click on Add Finfic, copy+paste your work, add a title and a description to let browsers know what your fic is about, and enter it.

Hope you don't get confused by those insructions. And, if you need a beta, just ask and someone (like me) will pop up.

HI! Welcome.... no sarcasm, we love the creative types... just go here:
http://www.fireflyfans.net/bluesunroom.asp
look at the left hand column, right where is says 'add fan fic'
It is very easy to add stuff here...

you can also promote it in the Blue Sun area and/or in your own blog at this site

Here's a question for those of you more experienced with this. I just wrote my first fanfic, and it's well over 20 pages. Would I want to post it in sections, or post it at another site and link to it here, or what?

Probably best to post it in sections -preferably over multiple days. That way more people should see the fic.

Can I post my fanfic in double spacing, the way I wrote it or single spaced which may mean some structure rethinks?

You worry yourself needlessly. Take a look at any fic in the BSR. They all have the same format: single spacing with a blank line between paragraphs, and 4 space indents.

The site does that automatically. No matter how your fic is formatted as you write it (in Word or whatever), it'll be reformatted once you post. You'd have to work pretty hard to make it look any different than the usual - you'd need to put in html tags.
