Of late I find making Firefly art harder and harder. I had the occasional good idea, but without more new raw material, I find it progressively more difficult to come up with good themes. I remember being a bit in shock when River6213 once wrote she had milked the fandom for everything she could. But now I fear I'm beginning to understand what she was talking about. Not that I'll ever not be a Browncoat, but far as fanart is concerned, I'm reaching the limit of what I can still extract. The well is near dry, I fear. I'm fair certain this interests few, if any. But it DOES, of course, matter to my own self.
I just wish we got more 'Verse. The dry spell has been so bad lately, that I've even resorted to cheating a bit. I made some Stargate Atlantis stuff. And, lo and behind, suddenly I felt way inspired. I guess the human brain -- or mine, at least -- needs to remain stimulated with freshness.
In earnest, the real distress I feel is that I realize the 'Verse is dying. :( I have shelved fanart here by great artists -- artists, not me -- that would leave you gasping. But all the First Ones have gone beyond the rim. And they're not returning.
A craphill 'Verse? I'm looking at a downhill 'Verse, in point of fact. Something a good deal more dangerous. And I, unlike 'my' Fran, rather keep being... than not.

I'm feeling it too. Seems like we're stuck chasing each other around in circles these days. Same old stuff, over and over. Nothing to do but nitpick over silly details. Just as well for me, I've got tons to do in RL!
