Blackadder...mostly for me it was a chance to meet everyone face to face and have fun... didn't go to any events ( though I went to a ton of room parties...Browncoat1's rocks!!!!)

Hmm. It would be nice to meet ppl from here. I'll have to give it some thought. I definitely have the vacation time, and the $ isn't really an issue. Just have to work up the energy to make the plans I suppose.

I'm in! Might have to get a lot of things last min cause the cashy money aint so shiny at the moment, but the hubby and I decided that I need a vacation more than I need air right now. And also he saw how devistated I was not being able to go last yr so this yr I'm going! Anyone need a small, quiet, clean, non-smoking roomie?

As of right now, I'm out - put in the vacation-time request, but due to some greedy hou zi de pi-gu skimming on his vacation pay last year, everybody has been disallowed from taking anything but a Sun-Sat vaca week. 
So unless I take a full two weeks at the end of August, it ain't lookin' rosy. There's still a chance and I'll know better in a couple of months.
My dweeb of a trainmaster explained that basing vacation time on anything but a Sun-Sat week allowed some guys to get away with being nowhere near the railroad for about three weeks....should've asked him, Why the hell would anybody WANT to be near the railroad for three weeks while they're vacating? WTFO.

Blackadder... you might want to move quick on those plans as the hotels are filling fast and all... just go to the Dragon Con site and it'll get you set...it'd be shiny to meet you...

I'd love to meet folks face to face but I would also prefer to have someone I know from RL there as I can be somewhat introverted. I'm working on it.

I have a Marriott Visa and a Marriott Preferred membership thru work, so I don't think a room will be the problem. Gotta decide on how I'd get there, since it's a bit far to drive.

MsB - clearly showing your insanity again. XD I got my hotel reservations only a couple months in advance last year, and the hotels weren't even full then. People have plenty of time, I think. ^^
