Whether you liked "Keen Eddie" or not, this bit of news might be considered intriguing. File it under the category of "abandoned series finds new home." It also shows fox isn't above making a buck off it's own rejection pile.
[guote]Excerpted from Bravo.com
Starting January 20, Bravo, the Arts and Entertainment Network, will begin airing "Keen Eddie." The hour-long drama, created by J.H. Wyman, follows a down-on-his-luck New York City cop, played by Mark Valley ("Pasadena"), who goes to work for Scotland Yard in London after a botched drug bust back home. The series was shot entirely in London and also stars Sienna Miller ("Bedtime"), Alexei Sayle ("The Young Ones"), Colin Salmon ("Die Another Day") and Julian Rhind-Tutt ("Tomb Raider").
The series premiered on fox on June 3 2003, only to be cancelled by July 24. "Keen Eddie" was seen to be a bit to "edgie" for network television, and fox in particular, with a style that many of its fans believed would be more at home on premium cable. Bravo plans to run all 13 episodes of the series, including no less than six episodes that were never aired.

the first time i saw "keen eddie" on tv i thought that there was no chance something this cool would last on fox.
on fox-that-was, back in the days when the x-files was just starting up, 'keen eddie' would have been given a chance for the audience to catch up.
glad to see bravo/nbc adopt a fox orphan.

I'd actually forgotten how nasty that little beastie was. That scene where Eddie goes to presumably pick him up and we learn the dog is stuck in quarantine for 6 weeks and the dog knew he was being ditched? Eddie's look was priceless.

Thanks! That's Jeannette Lee, an actual pro nine-ball player. She's been "Borrowed" for my part in the RP. CapnRahn found it and resized it for me.
I suppose I should have said, "It's me!" But I couldn't bring myself to do it.

She is, isn't she? Who knew when I described the character of Rowan that there was someone who fit the profile so perfectly. I've been out of playing pool for awhile... since tech school really. I had no idea the girls were doing so well. She's been quite the inspiration.

I had a look at the Fox site for Keen Eddie while it was on, as it turns out the dog actually was rescued from a crack dealer that was abusing him. The trainer was looking for a dog to train for the show, found this dog at a shelter, thought the dog would be totally unsuitable to train but as they were about to put him down decided to take him anyway as he was so ugly he found him cute. Turned out the dog was not only trainable, but trived on the attention.
Perfect Dog for the role !!!
and a nice story too
I wonder when Kaylee was going to get a cat for Serenity ?
