Which was bogus mind you.

There is one other option for fans to directly bring back firefly and that is for the brown-coat organizations around the globe to purchase common stocks of Fox with the donated monies of their members, and then to write the Board of Directors of Fox telling them that so many shares of common stock vote for the remaking of Firefly. One share of common stock is equal to one vote. Do not buy the preferred stocks of Fox if this is your desire because preferred stock gives a higher dividend with no voting rights.
Of course each brown-coat organization will have to get the money from its members or organized events and then draw up a contract explaining how the collected money will be spent, how the dividend revenues will be spent, how the program will be run in general and the brown-coat organizations will either have to elect a treasurer for this or start an account with a broker, but this is an option never the less.

Please do correct me if I ask anything stupid, as I don't pretend to know very much about this :P but two questions on that:
-Why would it need to be an organization? Wouldn't individuals holding stock be given that same vote?
-How much common stock would one have to hold in order to be guaranteed that vote?

Well, what's one vote equal to? How many votes would it take to make a difference?

Those are not stupid questions, and if you do have the disposable income to purchase a good quantity of stocks or if purchasing stock is in your portfolio plan then please do, but for the common person who may have $10 - $50 dollars to donate that might not get even one share, but as an organization those donations and possibly some income from organized events would be enough to buy several shares. If a person were to write to the board of directors and say the y own one share the board would probably confirm that person did own a share then politely reply with a thank you for owning the stock in Fox, but that one vote was not enough to dissuade them from their current course. If a person or organization were to say they had several shares, that might persuade Fox to change course.
