Thank you to everyone who participated in helping us name our new home. After much consideration, we have decided on The Brown Coat Pub & Theatre which will officially open at 111 Grace Street in downtown Wilmington , NC in February 2008!
The Brown Coat will be a full service pub and theatre themed after our favorite television show and movie that also gives a nod to the many science fiction films and series that have lensed in Wilmington, NC.
It will be a place for Firefly, sci-fi, film & theatre fans to socialize and enjoy time together. On any given night you'll be able to see a play, a movie, a comedian or other types of entertainment while enjoying a pint with your friends.
We'll keep you posted on developments as they come, but look for the grand opening in February 2008.

What a shiny name! Now I will have to find my way to Wilmington to give the place a looksee.

my family vacation in North Carolina every other year-- '08 is our reunion year
my sister and I are already planning a night out at your pub! I'll have to remember to pack my brown coat!

We'll definately have some pics and such as soon as we get them. We finalized the lease on the building a couple of weeks ago but don't officially take possession of it until January 1st. Information will be slow flowing for awhile, but the flood gates will open after Christmas I'm sure.
