Really... First time I saw the movie it sounded that way, and it continues to bug me to this day. Am I the only one?

I never noticed it. Could be I'm just used to her faint Canadian inspired Western drawl.

Nope! She sounds like Kaylee always has.
Anyone catch tonight's Stargate Atlantis? Jewel was channeling Kaylee tonight. I almost expected River to appear from behind a tree, and save the day instead of Teyla. The bad guys even resembled Reavers a little bit.
Jewel is a great addition to SG-A, but watching her just makes me miss Firefly even more. BTW, how can Stargate fans have no issues with worlds that look like old Egypt, but have problems with worlds that resemble the old west? I keep hearing from Stargate fans, who dismiss Firefly as that "Coyboys in Space" show.
I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.
