So who's gettin' it?
Who's got good memories of it?
Who just goes "meh" regarding it?
Chrisisall was the dog's name.

Quote:$70 at Bestbuy and Amazon (for a week, then it goes to $100)- but it's only the first set of 3...the other two come out in Dec. and Jan., if I understand correctly.

Quote:Yeah, and there's this other set of three films that I have, you'd probably like them too. It's when Indy is older though- like 40.

I'm torn on this one. I love Indy, and I'm a completist... so I want to buy the set. On the other hand, I didn't actually enjoy the show that much, and this first set is mostly the little kid version of Indy, who I didn't like at all.
That, and they cut out the "old" Indy bookends to each episode. Sure, they were goofy, but like I said, I'm a completist...
Maybe I'll wait for volume 2. I liked the Sean Patrick Flannery Indy much more than the little kid.

Yeah I know what you mean. I did not like the little kid episodes at all. The only plus side is the episodes were split 50/50 for the first few.
The more I've looked at it the more I'm probably going to pass. The box set only has the first 7 episodes and is mostly the documentary stuff. And for the price I honestly expected it was the full series.

Kinda ditto what you said...I want these , and while I much preferred the Sean Patrick Flannery 'Indy' , I also watched and enjoyed the 'little kid Indy' , too . Just not as much .
I'm disappointed about the absence of the bookends...Many of them were shot in the town where I live , as were some segments of the Flannery episodes...I came along a street downtown , and there was Flannery in front of the cameras at one of the storefronts...It was a cool Indy moment for me...
Has anyone here seen his work in 'Powder' ? I think it was an underrated film that showcased his considerable acting skills...
I wonder if 'Flan-nery' is a Browncoat ?

You know Chris, it's getting to the stage where I see the title of the thread and I just know that it's from you. And you got a DA mention in there.
Transgenics RULE!!
As for Young Indy, I'm in the 'I Don't Know' category. Love the movies of course, but I only vaguely remember watching the pilot to this show.
After that I think I gave up.
Although to the best of my (dodgy) memory it was shown on a Saturday in the summer over here so I wouldn't have wanted to be stuck inside in front of the TV.
Maybe when you get it (or if someone gets it first) you could give us all a review??
