Yesterday, Browncoats voted 1,225 times.
Yesterday, Xenites voted 612 times.
(Xenites voted 613 times less than Browncoats, yesterday).
Firefly is 17,912 votes ahead of Xena!
Browncoat votes fell by 261 yesterday, 17.56%; Xenite votes fell by 44, 6.71%.
Now, we shoot for our next big goal, 425,000, which is 13,544 votes away, about 11.05 days at current voting levels.
Further out is half a million, 88,544 votes away, still about 72.28 days out as we are currently voting.
4,360,721 votes have been counted as of 09/22/07. 12,360 were cast yesterday. In order to take ownership of 10% of all votes cast yesterday, we needed to vote 1,236 times, which we fell short of by only 11 votes. We still increased out share to 9.4355039% of all votes ever cast, and climbing.
We're closin' in on that 10% slice of the pie on Rich Labonte's charts! If each of us voting managed to eke out just one more vote per day, it would make a huge difference; we could start catching up on that 10%, not to mention reaching our goal numbers much more quickly.
Our 1000+/day streak is still going strong, at 54 days, continuing to beat our previous best-ever streak! Just 20 days to beat Xena's all-time record of 73 days.

The way the votes are going, Dark Shadows will bump Hercules off the Top 40 within five months. That's a 41 year old show. Gives new meaning to "undead". I wonder if they get help from the Buffy/Angel fans? Is Dark Shadows in syndication, or is it all because of a DVD release? Some of those old shows can pick up a lot of new fans via decades of syndication, plus DVD release.

I suspect there's some natural 'cross over' in the fan groups; but if the 'buffy team' got serious about supporting DS, I think the numbers would be even higher than they are.

I do wish the Buffyverse fans would take notice; I know Dark Shadows isn't the same kinda witty show that Joss writes, but, the flavor of the show is still pretty darksome, and, I think they'd find a lot in it to enjoy.
Anybody else not using their nominations vote, "Dark Shadows (1966)" could sure use it! As it is, many Dark Shadows fans are voting Firefly, now, especially since I let 'em know we are working on our 1k+ votes/day streak. Coupla weekends I know their votes helped keep us above the 1k line.
ETA: Suasor, mainly it's an active fandom that stays in touch. There have been DVDs, and, Skiffy ran it some time back. However, there is also gonna be a movie next year with Johnny Depp as vampire Barnabas Collins, which should also bring "new blood" into the fandom.
