There are a pair of Cons coming up early next year in Chattanooga, Tennessee, ChattaConhttp:// www.chattacon.org/Joomla/ in January and ConNooga http://www.connooga.com/index.html in late February.

I know that I will most likely be going to both, as they are fairly local for me, just a couple hours drive. Can I hope to see some fellow Browncoats there?

Hmmm, a chance to hang out with Browndcoats and drink? Naah, I think I'll count the ceiling tiles here at work instead.

You know I'll be there, driving folks around, wearin' my coat (though the rank needs a little updating), and generally causing Browncoat-y goodness.

(good thing too, because I am not sure I can count high enough to get all of the ceiling tiles)

I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

Well, I will only have time and money to attend one. ChattaCon is the party con and ConNooga is the family oriented one, right? My vote is for ChattaCon.

I am guessing you mean Boone, Kentucky, right? About 220-230 miles, I believe.

OMG! You're in Boone?! You better get your butt down here to Charlotte for one of our shindigs. No way you can be in NC and not hang out with your fellow Browncoats.

BTW, you're looking at a 270 mile trip to ChattaCon -- according to Yahoo Maps, about 4-1/2 hours.

/hijack complete -- we now return you to regular programming

4½ hours ain't that bad. 2 Georgians and an Alabaman drove 4+ hours (4 for me, about 6 for them) to Charlotte for the Serenity Now screening. A trip well worth it, BTW. You really do need to go meet up with the Charlotte Browncoats. Shiny group of folk!
