Why? I'm glad you asked. 
Because in the time I've been keeping records (555 days), that is one more than the total number of votes Xena has beaten Firefly by if you only count the days that Xena has beaten Firefly (49 days).
Once Firefly is 7,160 votes ahead of Xena, they would have to start breaking records again to catch us.
I'm not saying they can't do it (we caught them easy enough didn't we? 
), I'm just saying we can breathe a little bit easier once we cross that line.
