I'm new to this site, but wanted to let the SE folken know that I'm in Orlando and would love any info on gatherings or conventions in this area. Like most of you, I saw Serenity this past weekend and loved it. Fan of the series, but have not yet purchased the DVD set.

I don't WANT to blow up!

Did you go to the Orlando Premiere shindig?

There's a group of us old-timers that got together every month for a year to set that up. Pretty much, that's why we did it! A good excuse to get together with our Firefly friends.

We usually refer to ourselves as THE FL Browncoats but I know we don't want to be excluding anybody.

We set up the following website for the Premiere shindig but I have a feeling we'll be turning it into a regional fan site.

Nice to see the fandom staying strong and getting bigger (well, morphing anyway).

I wish I had gone to the premiere shindig, but I didn't know about it. Sometimes I forget just how handy this big damn internet thing can be. I'll check out that site and hopefully can be a part of future shindigs.

And did I see this post before? O-o. Oh well. I didn't get a car till April, so i would've not been able to go.

I wanted to go to that premire...but didn't b/c of my friends who were tagging with us to the movie. Also, i would've not been able to bring 3 people who knew nothing about the show.

Hmmm.... I'm in Jacksonville.
Orlando is about as far as I am likely to make it but if there are any lurkers out there want ing to crew up in there Northeast part of the state and car pool lets get it on!
