Earth : Final Conflict never clicked with me, but the others here were liked, and then mourned by me...
I have the first season of Seaquest on DVD-and ST is forever... the others, well, it's just too painful, I guess...

Thanks for posting this article. I liked all those shows he mentioned, and I never really understood why they got worse & then vanished, especially Earth Final Conflict.

Earth the Final Conflict was on very late in Milwaukee. So I know it had a poor following here. And they did go off on another tangent that caused me to loss interest. I may have stayed with it if they had kept to the original plot line.

I completely echo the sentiment of the article in that SLIDERS deserves to be at number one. That show was one of my favorite shows growing up as a kid, and re-watching the first three seasons on DVD was both enjoyable and painful. Enjoyable in seeing a great concept working almost flawlessly, and then painful in that it went completely went off the rails and morphed into something unrecognizable.
With Hollywood remaking every sci-fi series under the sun, I hope that they do re-make SLIDERS and give it the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA treatment and give this perfect concept the execution it deserves.
Also, EARTH: FINAL CONFLICT was another show that got screwed over. After the first season, it started to become a mess. So it should be on the list.
I wouldn't go so far as to say season 3 of the original TREK was horrendous, although I did see "Spock's Brain' and agree that was a dumb episode. Maybe when I see all of season 3 I'll have a better assesment.
Have never seen either SEAQUEST DSV or ANDROMEDA and have no interest in either of them.

I did like Sliders and SeaQuest. Thankfully I got to stop watching it when it moved to the Sci-Fi channel so I couldn't see the complete raping of the show, but it was bad enough after the original characters started getting killed off.
The second season of SeaQuest pissed me off with Michael Ironside. Roy Scheider was awesome, it just lost it's way when he left.

Quote:The second season started off with a genetic-slave-warrior episode. That was where it jumped for me; the first season is still great fun.
