Y'know, I used to have a thread with a link to each CT, but I think I stopped maintaining that after CT2.

It is with a saddened heart that I read this. :( Sad because CAPTION TIGHTPANTS meant a lot to me. Not just as a reader, or as a contestant even, but because, now that it is ending, the reality sinks in that the CAPTION TIGHTPANTS threads have never really been just threads, but have always been the very fabrics of our Verse itself. And when I saw you were pulling the plug, it was as if someone spelled out for me, in so many words, that the Verse had finally ended. :( And for the longest time I couldn't even bear to read any further, let alone make an entry.
But I have words nonetheless. The CAPTION TIGHTPANTS threads were like a campfire, that we could all go gather around, and share in the warmth of the Firefly Love. And we recognized the images, and we knew the contestants. And it was precisely this familiarity, this bond of family, that made it so special for me. You, TenthCrewMember, provided that. And I will greatly miss it. And I greatly thank you for it.
If there's any constant in the Verse, then it be that everything changes. Way it is is the way it is. But know I will think back, often, and with deep warmth, to the time before the change.

Sorry to see you're hanging up the tightpants... I only read occassionally, but Caption Tightpants always brought a smile to my face. Good of you to do it so long, TCM. Keep flying.
