I saw it twice, and I going back with more friends. It is the problem with Indies. They don't stay around for long, and they don't usually show at the big theaters.

That is what I am hoping that Fox SearchLight doesn't give up and keeps sending the movie out to theaters so everybody gets to see it and not have to drive an hour every time....GRRRH ARRRGH!

See how far away it is Thursday and then see how far away it is Friday and Saturday.

I cannot tell if new theaters are opening Friday or if the arrows are ones that were already there. It just looks like a lot fewer arrows.

Fandango feeds the imdb.com US Map. The shiny thing about it is that it shows a much larger area. Waitress could be showing in a nearby section of town or nearby town and a local Fandango search would not find it.

Waitress kept moving closer to me every weekend and then it stopped at an hour away. I can still see it again this weekend.

There was a drop in theaters this weekend but eyeballing the map for Thursday and Friday there are new arrows where there were not some. So Waitress is losing some old theaters and gaining some new theaters.

I see arrows where there were not arrows last week. So I think Fox Searchlight is still sending Waitress to
new theaters. Just more theaters are dropping Waitress then Fox Searchlight is sending out.

So I feel better just knowing that there are new theater pickups.

Waitress may be closer than you think. Could be playing in the theater down the road for two weeks and then go away.

Can't tell by the imdb.com map of US Waitress screenings http://imdb.com/title/tt0473308/cinemashowtimes or the Box Office Mojo counts but on our favorite myspace Sandi Jun 28 2007 1:01P says Waitress is going to a new theater! Whoo-hoo!

"Here's how big Waitress has become - it's starting in Janesville, Wisconsin tomorrow. This is a town with two movie houses - a total of 18 theaters. Until the week before last, they were showing only five movie - Spiderman, Shrek, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ocean's Thirteen, and Knocked Up. Hooray for our local art house theater! Our Browncoat group saw Waitress when it opened there over a month ago. I went back and saw it again a week later.
And, get this, I'm going to see it again on Saturday 'cause IT'S STILL PLAYING !!!
It's the only theater in town that has shown Waitress but they just keep showing it and showing it and showing it.
