I have to say, the only bad thing about this DVD set is that it'll probably make you pretty depressed, because it's a constant reminder that the greatest show ever got canceled halfway through the first season.

Actually, until I got the DVD set today, I actually avoided watching the episodes I had on tape, because every time I did, I would get so depressed afterwards.

Anyways, off to watch more Special Features...

AAAUUUUGH!!!!!

The ONE time in the past year and a half that the postman doesn't leave my package by the door!!!!

I would have had my DVDs today!!!!!!! (whimper)

I'm hoping I have enough time at lunch tomorrow to pick them up, or I'm gonna be mighty unhappy!

On the plus side: Regular mail took overnight to get here from Amazon--that's incredible!

I ended up going to the post office early this morning before work to get them.

Sweated it out in line, hoping the package was there,and that they *hurry up!* so I wasn't late for work!

Luckily, I was not late and I have my precious DVDs in my possession!

Guess what *I'll* be doing tonight! :big grin:

I just got mine yesterday and stayed up all night watching the eps with commentary. My only dissappointment was there wasn't enough commentary, only about half the eps have it and Adam Baldwin didn't do one! :(

Other than that it was amazing, I was really overwhelmed by how many cast and crew stated outright that this show was the single greatest thing they have ever done. Also the sheer volume of crap they had to deal with from Fox! It's astounding that it even made it on the air!

Alan (Wash) stole the big red button they put on the bridge of Serenity during Out Of Gas that Mal was going to use to call back the shuttles when help came. When the show was cancelled and Joss was trying to get it back on the air Alan sent the button to Joss with a note saying if he got it back on just press the button and they all would come back.

When I heard this I got so choked up, it reminded me of when Ron Glass said he looked forward to the day when he could look back on his time on Firefly and not break out in tears. I feel the same way!

I hate it when that happens! I was waiting for a parcel a few weeks ago. It was a Friday and I was home from work. I decided to pop out of the house for ten minutes (literally) and guess when the postman decided to knock with my parcel? That's right! I had to go all the way down to our local sorting office to get the damn thing - but I couldn't do so until the postman got back to the main office with it!

My DVDs have not arrived yet. I have a horrible feeling they are going to incur customs charges - in which case, I'll have to go down to the sorting office to pick them up. And I can't do that until Friday!!

Hang in there! The payoff is SOOOOOO worth it!

I've only watched Serentity with and without the commentary, The Train Job with commentary, War Stories with the commentary, the Gag Reel, the deleted scenes and (for the first time) Trash.

Absolute heaven! I am LOVING the commentaries!!

I just loved how Joss and Nathan were goofing around during Serenity!

After watching Trash, I'm now back to being extremely angry with F*x for cancelling this show!!!
