According to this link http://www.fox.com/drive/ Fox network will be broadcasting the last two episodes of Drive on July 4th. I will add them to my meager Drive collection on DVD, the episodes I recorded for a friend to watch.
I'm glad they are going to show the remaining episodes filmed, but I sure wish the show hadn't been cancelled, hadn't premiered during such a lousy time of the year. I can't claim that Fox didn't promo the show, because they did, heck they showed clips and interviews on the Speed channel for like 3 weeks before the episodes premiere.
But at the same time, having 4 hours of the show in a 10 day period, without repeating the pilot, or giving people a bit of time to build up word of mouth hurt them more than anything else. Ah well. Drive, we hardly knew ye, but liked ye nonetheless.

I am glad they are showing them too, but I have to wonder why they bother in July. Surely they can show them earlier than that. By then only the die-hard fans will care.
It is a pity it got cancelled coz I liked the show and thought it had potential, but like so many shows these days it takes time to find it's stride. They usually turn out to be the great ones. The ones that start well can falter once the initial idea is used up.
Course there are exceptions.
Promoting a show is never enough. Like you said the episodes were too close, no repeats, and if I heard correctly wasn't the Monday episode up against Heroes??
Well that would kill it there if it was true. You don't put a new show up against a hot show like that. Too many people will be set on watching Heroes.
Oh yeah, and just wait till they bring out Drive: The Complete Series DVD Boxset in time for Xmas.

24 was up against Heroes when Heroes returned. Fox blamed the drop in 24 ratings on Drive being aired before it, not Everyone prefering Heroes.

not to mention Drive was in direct competition against "Deal or No Deal". I dont even like gameshows and that show is a good one.

Drive was never up against Heroes. Drive was at 8pm, Heroes at 9pm.
I finally watched the last aired episode this weekend, and it really wasn't that good. Of course Nathan was good, but most of the other actors were terrible. Tim Minear can come up with great stories, but the AWOL soldier, the girl that couldn't drive, the bank robbery, and especially the 'God told me you'd win' were not good stories.
I thought the 2 hour pilot was great, but after that, it just wasn't holding up. I'll still give the final 2 episodes a chance, but at this point, I am not so sure it shouldn't have been canceled.
And this is coming from someone who wanted to and expected to love this show.

Maybe if Drive had been a better show...
Nathan was the only thing going for it.

I actually thought the bank robbery was pretty good. Although it might have been more fun if they had played it for laughs.

Thanks for clearing that up. I knew there was some kind of connection to Heroes, even if it wasn't in direct competition.
It's not like I know the US schedule as I live in the UK, I just pick up on things sometimes. And it seems like your shows are on different times depending which coast you are on anyway.
Cheers

If they wait until July to air the last two episodes not many people will even know what is going on. Did they say anything about repeating the first four episodes so people will have a clue as to what is happening? If you missed it the first time you might as well forget about watching the rest.

They really don't care that people won't remember. They are airing the shows on the 4th of July, which is one of the lowest viewed tv nights of the year. They probably figure anyone that cares enough to watch that night already watched the other episodes and knows whats going on. Its not like they plan on bringing the show back so they want to pick up new viewers. The show is dead.
