Well, I wasn't referring to an actual error in the query - more of a "Oops, we put the wrong email address in the DB" or "Oops, wrong data in the DB!". But yeah, that was just a thought moreso than a "This is the answer" XD

Well you did say 'database error'. These things produce exceptions (assuming the language produces exceptions; asp does) when they happen. And an error in the query is one way to get them (another being improper permissions on the db user, etc). At any rate, the error is displayed in the browser here as Haken doesn't seem to catch the exceptions (at least of the db kind). So, from what you wrote, you did refer to such things. If you meant /just/ a programming error, then please say so.
I also got that you didn't necessarily say that you said that it was /the/ problem. Because, well, you said that. I was just pointing out that it was unlikely. As /I/ said.
I don't mean to be a dick here, but please write what you mean. Because, it's all I/we got to understand what you're trying to say.
