Okay, it is high time to for us fans to write the ultimate "Firefly" musical episode. Which songs would you assign to each character? I'll start us off with a few of mine.

Mal--"I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow", "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay"

YoSaffBridg--"Ain't Misbehavin'", "It Ain't Necessarily So", and, of course, "Cell Block Tango"

Jayne--"Money (That's Whatta I Want)" ["money can't buy you everything it's true, but what it can't buy I can't use ..."], and, since I saw Adam Baldwin sing a few bars in his Jayne voice, ("Feelings")

Shepard Book--"Down to the River to Pray"

Zoe--"My Funny Valentine" (for Wash)

Badger--"Chim Chiminee Chim Chim Cheree" ("bad luck will rub off if you crosses me ...")

Reavers--lots of wordless screaming into the mike followed by some heavy metal guitar chords and then the smashing of their instruments.

River- 15 Minutes -The Strokes (It was all just a dream ...)
Jayne- Money - Pink Floyd
I'm thinking perhaps Attack- Thirty Seconds to Mars
for Mal...(So many possibilities for his character) then 4 Words.. by Bullet for my Valentine for Zoe actually
I' ve decided Sexy Results- DFA 1979 for Wash hehe.
I still have to manage to get a Rise Against song in there and an Alexisonfire hmmmmmmmmmm yay this is fun

Serenity: "Blackest Crow" Finest Kind (1st verse every time a shuttle takes off or they go out on a job, 2nd verse to her Captain, 3rd verse to everyone on her)

Okay it's a little weird.. but I think it fits.
I think I'm developing a hangup around that song...

Mal: "Mobile" (The Who maybe? "Watch the police and the tax man miss me" is quite apt)
Zoe: "Stand By Your Man" (both of 'em!)
Inara: "Whole Lotta Love"
Jayne: "Wild Thing"
Book: "Sinner Man" (Next Tradition)
Wash: "Baby I'm Amazed"
Kaylee: "Buttons" (it just fits, OK?!)
River: "Crazy" (new one, I forget who does it.. charles something maybe?)
Simon: "Help" (Beatles)

"Crazy", by Gnarls Barkley.
For Alexisonfire, how about "This could be anywhere in the World", for a scene from the war? Same, but with "Prayer of the Refugee" for Rise Against.
And don't forget, no musical ep. would be complete without some type of Thrice song.

Having fun yet?

A Ghost is all that's Left,
Of everything we Swore we Never would Forget,
Tried to bleed the Sickness,
But we drained our Hearts instead,
We are... We are the DEAD!!!!!!!!!!

THRICE RULES!!!!!!!!!
What did Lord of the Flies teach us? That we are inherintly evil and that you will kill someone if given the chance... and never try to catch rocks with your face. That could end badly.

Perhaps an opera. They could sing in Italian.

Or a Broadway Musical. Like "Those Damn Yankees".

"What ever Lola wants, Lola gets. And little man, little Lola wants you."

I can see Zoe pulling Wash down to their bunk with that tune.

Lots of good suggestions . For the Blue Sun Corporation: "Mood Indigo" or perhaps Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue". Of course, no musical would be complete without a show-stopping dance number from the cast set to the music of "Rodeo" by Aaron Copeland. Yes, first the crew has a big hoedown and then they go shopping in the ritzy section of town ...
