It's entirely possible that Joss was going for a more gritty feel- Real Life ain't got slow-mo. If your gonna get speared by a big-ass harpoon, well... it would be a bit like Wash's death. Although the mourning should of been more pronounced, I don't think that Joss actually had that option. Execs are known stingy bastards.

Having fun yet?

I wanna take the Bullet,
The one aimed straight for your Heart;
I wanna meet the wolves halfway,
And let them Tear me APART,
But that's not the way they do it here...

THRICE RULES!!!!!!!!!

Yeah the deaths in the movie sucked

I know someone always has to die in movies but I would of been more entertained if Wash and Shepherd had lived on. It would of been good if none of the crew ever died, like the A-Team

Wash and Zoe's relationship was great, with the reversal of stereotypical roles, it was funny. I also wanted to learn what Book did before he was shepherd

Do you think they can bring Wash back as a robot or reaver...anything ?

Make a goddamn sequel or second series Joss...or im gonna stalk you!
