I watched Serenity recently at the recommendation of a friend - It was on one of the cable channels. I instantly loved this movie. I hopped on the internet to find out more about it, and was surprised to discovered Firefly – I have never even heard of this show... I rushed and bought a copy of both the movie and the TV series. Once I started watching them, I couldn’t stop. I was hooked. This show had fantastic characters and great stories. The more I watched, the better it got. To be honest, I wasn’t so sure about the whole "space cowboy" thing at first but that quickly went away and actually became one of the virtues of the atmosphere surrounding the show.

I’m not much of a TV watcher, because I think for the most part, MOST TV shows aren't worth watching, but Firefly was the best TV show that I’ve ever seen! This show should have never been taken off the air. Let me repeat that: This show should have never been taken off the air! I am definitely a fan in for the long haul... Now I’m recommending it to all my family and friends and picking up the various items (I have the Comic TBP on the way and the ornaments pre-ordered ) to show my support for the show. I have never been a fanboy of any show but I am now… Count me in on any support needed for this movement.

I would welcome having a browncoat if anyone would have a spare one to give…

Welcome FoundryFire,.....we are glad you found us. The coat lady FollowMal is busy somewhere and FloralBunny has the other key to the store room. I guess you will have to wait til one of them shows up. Don't feel leftout, I been here almost two years, and I never got a coat. We have Mudders milk and strawberries in the galley,...there were some ice planets in the freezer, watch out for the ships cat.

We got a cat? REALLY? When? Can I pet it? What's its name? Is it a boy or a girl? It can't be called Spork if it's a girl, 'cause that's a boy's name*. Can I call it mine? Can I sleep with it? Can I hold it? PLEASE? ::giddiness::

*True story when my friend got a kitten and she and her younger siblings were trying to name her. Katy (friend) was 18, Dan was about... 12? and Rosie was 8ish. Anyways, all three were debating names and so Katy just said, "Fine, we'll just name her Spork." Dan: "You can't name it Spork!" Rosie: "Yeah, that's a boy's name!" Hee.

Are you in the 76th?

Welcome to the boat FOUNDRYFIRE. I do believe that you will like it here. Also I see that you're already thinking about browncoat recruiting, that's a good thing.

So you and FILLYGIRL are in need of a virtual browncoat? Well I don't have access to the new browncoat locker but I do know where there are a couple of older ones in the equipment room. Here you go ( hands FOUNDYFIRE & FILLYGIRL their coats) those should do until you get new ones. Wear them with pride

Enjoy, Z out

Welcome to the site FoundryFire! Glad to have you here with us. Pull up a chair and make yourself at home.

Thanks for sharing how you found the show with us. We love reading such tales.

Thank you also for spreading the word. The more people that know the better our odds of the story continuing.

Take care and keep flyin'!

Welcome, welcome Foundryfire!! It'll take you a while to check out this entire site but know that you are among friends with the same feelings! Could not BELIEVE how good the show was... Absolutely could NOT believe the idiots who cancelled it...have devoted myself to converting more browncoats, voting hourly for Firefly as the best tv show ever at richlabonte.net/tvvote and will be marching as a member of the 76th Independent Army brigade at Dragon*Con in Atlanta this Labor day! It's amazing what fandom can do to a person.

You're very welcome FILLYGIRL

Looks good on you. The Holes? Bullet holes could be, "Battle of Serenity Valley" I think. But like my Dad used to say " Gives it character".
