Tall Glass of Blood

Since I only caught the first couple of episodes on TV, and I haven't been able to afford the DVDs, I've been reading the transcripts off twiztv.com and backing them up by looking at the vidcaps on buffyworld.com.

I'm up to Season 3, "Sleep Tight."

Okay, so I'm marginally squeamish, but none of the dismemberments & eviscerations in this show or Buffy have bothered me one bit, except for this one image that's been prevalent for the last couple episodes...

Angel cradling baby Connor in one arm while sipping from a tall glass of blood in his other hand.

I know it's pig's blood, not human, but still!
I get that little tug at the top of my stomach whenever I read that description line in the transcripts — and I've been seeing it a lot!

Anyone else feel that was somewhat unnecessary?

it's no doubt intentionally paradoxical, so i didn't really have a problem with it, no.

THere's a purpose in that image. Read a bit futher and see if it starts to make sense.

I was thinking the same thing. Thanks for confirming my revulsion! I thought I was the only one that noticed this.
