Actress Alyson Hannigan, known to genre fans for her role as Willow Rosenberg on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, has committed to star in a new half-hour NBC sitcom. Hannigan is listening to show ideas from writers and producers and the show is expected to be on the air by the fall of 2004. An NBC executive tells The Hollywood Reporter that getting the Hannigan project off-the-ground and on the air is a "top priority" for the network.

Well, Alyson has found work. Good for her.

Still would like to see here reprise the Willow role on Angel once in awhile.

In the brainstorming sessions, I'm sure someone will suggest building a show around her "band camp" character from the American Pie series.

Let's hope they have the good sense not to go that route. You know they're going to at least promote the new show using her American Pie credentials (rather than her BTVS creds)...

She always plays the nerd but when she appears on talk shows she is HOT HOT HOT. And very sexy, I hope they take THAT route.

Say, does Nathan still have a contract with NBC? I'll assume that Alligator Point is an unofficial no-go. Wouldn't he and Alyson make a cute couple together on a sitcom?

I say NBC should scratch the sitcom idea and instead figure out a way to incorporate Alyson into the new Firefly series.

NBC currently has two vague contracts with Joss's people.

Hooray for our favorite little witch...

She and Alexis finally got hitched on Oct. 11th!!!

They're so cute together. Did anyone see them on the show "Celebrity Adventures" when they went to Papua New Guinea together? You could just see the love.
