Okay I ran to the computer as fast as I could and might have injured my leg in the process but I just saw an HMV commercial for their boxing week sale and one of the movies featured was Serenity! I don't know if that's really that exciting for anyone else and I actually have a Serenity related question so I guess I'll ask that here too. Did Serenity ruin Firefly? Don't get me wrong I love Serenity and it was definitely up to par with Firefly, a suitable ending. But it's just that, was it really an end to Firefly? Did Serenity ruin our chances of ever getting Firefly back on the air?

All I'm saying is that was 'Serenity' Joss's way of really saying goodbye? Is there anything else he can honestly do with the story? I mean I am as any good Browncoat is, hopeful but I just can't help wondering. Is there any record of him saying anything about this?

Personally, I don't think Serenity ruined any chance of a tv series comeback from a story perspective. Sure, it resolved some of the nagging questions regarding River's moon-addledness, and killed off Book before his history dove-tailed into the story, but the 'Verse is a big place and these points are not the only tales to tell.
