Mandatory vaccinations vs. right to choose

IF your children get the disease the effects WILL be worse than from vaccination. If you're worried about what cell fragments or killed or attentuated viruses "might" do, just imagine what the full complement of rapidly reproducing cells, toxins, polysaccharides, agglutins, RNA/DNA etc will cause! What you're gambling on in the risk from UNIVERSAL vaccination (100% X 10/1,000,000) versus the risk from catching the disease (??% X 100/1,000,000.... or figures to that effect). The civic duty of preventing YOUR children from becoming carriers nevers enters into your equation, nor does the effect of carrying your argument to the entire population, which increases the chances that YOUR child will catch the disease due to loss of "herd immunity".
Given that you say that your son has a severe immune dysfunction, I would imagine that (a) would be proveable with Ig tests abd (b) should provide ample reason to defer vaccination. My daughter- given her neuro hx- was deferred from pertussis vaccine. There are individual reasons to defer vaccine that have nothing to do with generic fear of vaccination.
But what if people want to skip vaccination for other than specific reasons? The "majority" ALSO has a right to self-protection, and has to look at the concept that unvaccinated children MAY become carriers for previously contained diseases. Given that, an unvaccinated child should be treated as a pontential vector (until/unless rapid tests become available) especially in times of outbreak and should be FULLY QUARANTINED: no school no shopping trips to the supermarket, no play dates, or trips to the park. And if mom dad, and other caregivers don't have immunity, they should ALSO be fully quarantined.
