You bake.

Hi! Been known to bake. It was easier when I had a reliable oven (read: gas rather than electric) but the one I have now in my current apartment is anything but consistant. I can bake something at 350 one week and it's burnt, then try the next week at the same temp and it's only half done. Go fig.

I don't cook at all. I live alone and I just lost the enthusiasm to cook just for myself.

Same here, but I've recently gotten very tired of frozen whatevers, take out and pre-packaged salads that I've been eating for the past year or so. I just made a nice pot of stew that I'll eat for several days and freeze what's left.

I much prefer cooking for more folks and kind enjoy the whole camping at Pensic I do as I make a few big meals and freeze them to take along for the encampment to eat.

I miss my old roommate. We had a nice agreement. I cooked and she cleaned. (I loathe cleaning and she never learned how to cook until after she moved away from home and only learned very rudimentary skills.)

The best part of Christmas was my mother baking cookies. She had a couple of good recipes that were just fantastic. She doesn't bake anymore. I would bug here about it, but she deserves to take a break after years of caring for me and my sister. But I do miss thoughs cookies.

Yeah, mom always made wonderful butter cookies and rum balls. I guess I'm gonna have to try my hand at it. Dunno if I'll try it this year, though.

In the latest imponderable is whether people like celebrating their birthdays. I have to admit birthdays were very special when I was a child. Licking the bowl after my mother got done pouring the cake batter into the baking pans for my birthday cake. Gotta love that.

Oh, yeah, doing that was always fun, even when I got the 'don't eat that--there's raw eggs in it' lecture after.
