Very, very shiny episode. Alan did a great job playing the character. Very creepy at some points, at at the end, shiny. Definitely glad I saw that.

I thought he was absolutely brilliant. He was amazingly creepy and yet he managed to make that character seem human.

Yes, I agree. Alan did a really good job playing a really bad man. I was so used to seeing him as Wash that I had to work hard to get my mind around him as a child molester. But, of course, he is an actor and it's good on him getting work.
Still, we need to keep on pushing to get him back on that ship.
Sitting here watching Heart of Gold - the scene where Innara meets Mal coming out of Mandy's room.
BTW - does Simon remind you of the way Wes moved when he first came onto the scene in Buffy? I mean his body mannerisms.

Remember I'm new and just watching the series again. I only saw Serenity once and it's been a while since I saw Serenity and I wasn't going to watch it again until I went thru the whole series. I didn't know all the characters then.
I knew about Book but not sure who else bit the cosmic dust in that movie. I'm planning to watch it again this weekend.

No problem, friend. I watched the whole series once and immediately looked for fellow Firefly fans. Was overjoyed to find this site! I rented Serenity early in the summer and then found the DVD's for the series. Was so disappointed that it got cancelled early - like everyone else here. I'm just grateful you folks have hung in there to keep things going.
Loved Wash in the series - he was so funny and the dinasaur thing cracked me up.! I know people like that! Too bad he came back as a pedophile but hey I hear actors like playing those bad guys. Nathan was sure a nasty character on Buffy.
