FMF, yep. I know that story REAL well. I was the entire IT department for a company back in Buffalo for about 12 years. I crawled around in the ceilings stringing cable, I designed databases, I trained users and ran the network. When they went under in 2002, I discovered that no one will even consider hiring someone whos IT degree is from 1984!

That's why I'm working right now on my MCSA, MCSE and A+ certifications. Today I earned my...

Hey PP - Whimsical was asking about that Cert yesterday. i directed her to her local Library and to Microsoft's website. Did you do your's though a college program or on your own?

If on your own could you give her a shout as to how you did it. I have a college here so it was easy for me.

Thanks

Kelkhil

My job is doing computer support for the F.C.C., so the US government is actually paying me to get certified. Sorry, but I can't really help Whimsical except to say that there is probably a course being offered somewhere near by.

I am envious of three kinds of folks.

1. Tekkies- I can break stuff like no other. I have no clue how to fix it. And then there's the abstract art of programming. Huh?

2. Runners- I can cover short distances very fast. And if need be I can run a few miles. After that I'm crap.

3. Doctors- I was better at making the holes than patching them up.

All these people suck in ways I can't explain.

If you fall within any of these catagories, take no offense.
For we are all Forsaken and it will not matter in the hot place.

Beer anyone?

One of my favorite quotes:

How many of the people history remembers as heros were simply slow runners?
