I can't believe I never thought to post here before. There are a small group of fans that have started to meet once a month in Dublin.
We are not meeting in December as it is too close to christmas and folks are busy so the next one is Saturday 13th January, 2007. At the Long Stone Pub at 6.30.
Hope some of you can make it.

How have I not seen this before?
Here's a Happy New year to all Irish Browncoats! Keep it Shiny in 2007!!
By the way, a Monaghan guy here, living now in Fermanagh - there's LOADS of Browncoats up here!

Can I be honorary Irish?
I'm not even remotely Irish, but I've become absolutely obsessed with Ireland in the past three years. It is a dream of mine to visit.
I fell in love with the scenery via (of all things) a Def Leppard video (Miss You In A Heartbeat) and then was given an Irish music CD (Bothy Band "Old Hag You Have Killed Me). There is a song called "Fionnghuala" on it that I just fell in love with and wanted to learn how to sing it.
So, I actually started trying to learn Irish on my own! Haven't done anything with that in a while, but I still remember some stuff.
I'm also a huge fan of Ballykissangel. Avoca would be among the many places I'd have to go to if I ever get the chance to visit!

Hello All.
The next Dublin Shindig is on Saturday 13th January.
Plans are to go ice skating in the RDS for the 4.10 - 5.10 session.
Meeting outside the RDS at 3.30.
Its highly advised that you book your ticket if you want to come iceskating http://www.7upchristmasonice.ie/ice_skating.php
That saves the problem of anyone being responsible for money.
For anyone who doesn't want to go iceskating, there will be the usual drinks at The Long Stone Pub at 6.30.
Hope to see some of you there.

Hi all & ALMARSARE,
Thanks for organising the Dublin Shindigs and the Serenity screening :) I've been a member for a while, but forgot everything about it ...
I've added a graphic for an Irish Browcoat ;) not sure me ol' irish is up to it ... but perhaps someone could check. I'm putting it into Cafepress of course ...
I'm in Dublin also, Tipp in origin, but not sure I can make Sat 28 Apr, as it clashes with something - which I will try and reorganise - as I'd love to meet up with ye all.
Shiny
