Bittersweet Browncoat Conversion

Three weeks ago the only thing I knew about the 'verse was that there was some sci-fi movie about a psychic crazy girl based on a cancelled TV show. I knew that there were devoted fans called browncoats, but had no idea what it really meant to be a one.

Since that fateful day when I walked out of Blockbuster with a Serenity DVD rental in hand, I have purchased my own Serenity DVD, Firefly DVD collection and soundtrack, the trade paperback "Those Left Behind" and even the "Done the Impossible" DVD. I just need my own brown coat to make the conversion complete.

So what could possibly be bad about this conversion? I'm sad to find there is no more of the 'verse out there. I'm sad I missed Serenity on the big screen. I'm sad I missed the fun of the grassroots campaign to make the impossible happen.

Becoming a browncoat at this late day I have to wonder if I've joined the wave too late to make a difference. I'm excited to be here and like everyone else here hope to one day see the continuation of the Firefly story.

Hey I am new too. Well new to this site anyway.

It doesn't matter when you joined just that you did. Even if there is never another 'verse installment there are still people who will love the 'verse anyway and continue to try and make the Powers That Be here our cries for more. If that never comes to pass we are still here in homage and love for what Joss has created. And to laugh with each other about what has been seen and what we think should be seen in the 'verse.

So we are glad you made the trip!

Still flying....thats all that matters!

I feel the same. I curse myself that I didn't join in time to help Serenity to the box office it needed for immediate sequels. Fortunately, the Original Browncoats are a forgiving lot. Reinforcements are always welcome.

We just have to keep buying everything Firefly. Support all our BDHs in all they do to increase their Star Power. Spread the word and keep recruiting so that more people buy everything Firefly. Keep showing the Powers That Be what a goldmine this 'verse can be.

Hey I may of watched the Serenity Big Damn Movie when it came out & I loved it to bits but I would of never called myself a Browncoat till only about 3 months ago & I then went crazy...Loo by loo,hands are poo.So there's never a time which is too late to become a Browncoat not unless you become a Browncoat in the year 2517 because then your a real Browncoat with a real gun & a real Browncoat cause that's the year Firefly & Sereniy are set in.
