1.Joss Whedon is looking for someone young, and an actor that is not well known.

2.Someone who has an islandish look

3.Good in action scenes

4.Would look stunning in the WW coustume

5.would look so very hot in a WW costume(sorry that's my faut) and could pass for Amazonian

6. Can act very well, and could carry the movie with ease

If reading the top six statements at any time you thought of Summer Glau, then you are correct, and deserve a prize. I want SG to play wonder Woman so badly, that If she doesn't get the role I might not even see it. I hope Whedon is at least considering her for the film. The greatest female superhero of all time should be played by Summer Glau.

Ha! That's actually not a bad suggestion! But is she a bit too small?

When they first mentioned the role I thought of Gina. She's got that taller, more amazonish look to me.

She not really amazonian, though. Now Gina, she's amazonian. I would love to see Gina as Wonder Woman, but I'm sure there are those stupid purists who will raise an almighty uproar if Wonder Woman was black. Bah!
I've thought of Summer before, though. A few people have brought up Jessica Alba and my response to that has always been "If you're going to cast someone petite, cast Summer! At least she can move like an athlete!"
Morena has also been discussed.
You know who I really like, though is Erica Durance. She's got the body and the build for it, and can also kick some ass.
That's just me, though.

personally I would love to see Summer in the role, she was a real action hero in 'Serenity' and I think she could carry Wonder Woman with ease....

but I also think that Morena Baccarin has the right exotic look, with kind of an ageless goddess quality

but I also think that Gina Torres has the height and dignity and beauty for Wonder Woman

I hope that Joss can hire one of the actresses from Firefly/Serenity... but of course I'll go see it no matter who is in it!

Haha, I think I've just been blinded!! I agree with Summer playing Wonder Woman, she would be great, my only problem with it is that she doesn't seem to have quite the right manner about her, but maybe that's just because the only part I've seen her play is River, who is somewhat weak(well, except when she's kicking reaver butt!) Not exactly weak, but she breaks down...I hope everyone knows what I mean. I would rather see Gina play Wonder Woman, she already played a warrior woman

I would like to see Summer in the role though, playing such a different character. Joss will get it right I'm sure.

Summer could pull it off. Pete Jackson made so many scale changes in LOTR, why not for Summer too.
GT would be a great Wonder Woman. Screw the color difference, she'd be great.
Okay, Linda Carter/wonder Woman was one of my first crushes as a child. Talk about goin' all squishy in the brainpan when Morena as Wonder Woman was mentioned.

While Summer might be great as Wonder Woman, there would be much ridicule for casting her. (And how much say will Joss have in the casting process anyway?)

So Summer's website says she's 5'8" tall. Not what I would call petite.

Reading that intrigued me, so I did a search on the height of the other actors. Here's what I found:

1. Summer 5'8" or alternatively one place listed her as 5' 5 1/2"
2. Morena: 5'7 3/4"
3. Gina: 5'10"
4. Jewel: 5' 5 1/2"
5. Nathan: 6'1/2"
6. Sean: 5'10"
7. Alan: 5'11"
8. Ron: 5'11"
9. Adam: 6'4"
