Yep! It was acually used as an example of the importance of punctuation by my English teacher. A line from an old book read:
"Has the Doctor seen her, Fanny?"

(Of course no-one in modern England would be cruel enough to name their child Fanny!)

Not that it would be much better in America. A little, but not much. Oh dear that is funny!

no, it would be very cruel for anyone to name their daughter "Fanny". No matter where in the English-speaking world you go, it means something less than desireable.

Threw in more peanut oil and bok
Choy to the world their users sigh

It began with a song
But didn't go on too long
One accused the other of a lie
That's what made the fruit fly.

Yeah - I'm guessing that doesn't mean what it means in Australia or the UK coz, for a start, you wouldn't be a 'guy' and for another thing - you wouldn't discuss it in polite society ... not that I'm saying this is polite society

It means "bottom". What's it mean there?

A part fo the female anatomy, in the same region as the bottom, but much more specific! (an oriface which no 'guy' has - if you get my drift?)

I'm blushing... see? Magdalena x x x
