he/she is usually content to stay in troll country, but lately has been posting rude and thoughtless comments on this thread:

animals have always been my constant friends, they have been there for me when noone else was, and the reason I asked for a mod is because you are doing nothing more than making Ged feel worse about his loss, all we want is some form of compassion, instead all you did was tell us to "grow a pair" do you see my reasoning?

Dude, just read through the thread in question, and I must say, you were the one telling people how to think.

-- And here, utter intolerence for lifestyles other than your own. Wasn't the point of Firefly that people should be able to live as they chose, no matter how strange that seems to someone else? You thinking that people from the city are weak minded is not different or more excusable that people from the city thinking that people from rural areas are backwards or crude. It's just another form of stereotyping, and a Firefly fan of all people should know better.
Regardless of your views on cityfolk, or your views on animals, you could have at least realized that, while you wouldn't find it offensive for someone to say, "hey, a dog is just a dog. Eat it" there are others who do. Right or wrong, it is their choice to believe that animals are loving, conpassionate friends. I don't think there is any reason in ther 'verse for you to think that animals are anything but tools, but there is every reason for you in the verse to acknowledge that many if not most other posters do not share your opinion.
This is where respect comes into play. It doesn't matter if you think someone's belief is wrong, or if you think they're a fool for believing it, you are talking to real, human beings on this board, and all of them feel. So, think before you post. Obviously, if a guy has started a thread because he is distraught over his pet's death, then telling him to kill it and eat it isn't very sympathetic. Heck, it isn't even very person-like, as Kaylee might say.
How can one watfh firefly and not learn these lessons?
