Long Beach, CA Shindig

Hey all! I've been looking for fellow Browncoats in my area to socialize with, to form a large group and have a shindig with for a little while now. And having missed the last shindig that happened to be right across the street from my house, I am slightly saddened. So! I want to host one. And since ComicCon is about 2 weeks away and Snakes on a Train Job 6 weeks away, I figured we can plan this right in the middle, and it would be fun.

Now I have a few places and dates that I can set aside, or that I know I will be free. So I will list them here and hope that you guys can help me decide.

Places:
Hartwell Park
California Buffet (a chinese buffet place)
Del Val Park

Dates:
July 30th
August 6th
August 13th

I'm not good at making decisions, so you gotta help. Please?

Maybe one of the parks and then the restaurant afterward? Or a picnic at the park... I'll have to ask a fellow Browncoat if we'd go though. We're up in West LA.

Thats what I was thinking. I've narrowed down the date, cause its the only day my boss will allow me time off. So now its a matter of were to have it.

It will have to be August 6th. And as for place I have come up with another possiblity. We can have it at a park and get food after (or the other way around), or I can find a place that caters.

Or we can find someone who doesn't mind having a few strangers over and we can watch Firefly/Serenity as a family.

I am open to suggestions.

Alright, I have had about 5 people say they would like to go to a shindig. So I have decided to set up a time and place and send it to you all. If no one shows up then I'll be eatin' lunch by myself, if people show up then there will be lots of browncoat love.

Date: August 6th 2006
Time: 12ish
(thats probably the time I will be awake enough to go eat something)
Place: Zen Buffet at the Long Beach Town Center
(Will give directions to those who need them)

Since I am not made of money and will not be able to provide for everyone, if you plan to eat please bring about 15 dollars... at least.

I will answer any questions any one may have about this little shindig. I'm kinda making it up as I go. And if you have any suggestions for after the eatin' happens, please fill free.
