Happy SD to all browncoats around the world. Kinda wondering if Joss and the cast members and crew know of the big push and loyalty of all the fans today.
Anyway just got back from purchasing the BDS. That makes 2 copies of the series for me. One of my own and a loaner copy. Look out friends and relitives, your gonna watch this show even if it means I will turn into Niska..... ha..ha mine is an evil,pain giving ( but only until they see the show and like it) laugh.

I cant make it to any screenings, to I bought 2 Serenity, 1 Firefly, 1 Firefly soundtrack, and 1 Serenity soundtrack. Hope it helps!

I'm hoofing it to two screenings today, but just can't spare the funds for extra DVDs. Does that make me a bad person, or just a poor Browncoat?

) but I'll get it one way or another! And then, to the Boston screening tonight!! Maybe there should be a meeting place for all the Browncoats from FFF.net?

Happy Serenity Day, everyone! I haven't been here for ages because of all the preparation for the Fresno screening. I want to thank everyone who attended our screening last night. I was so happy! We had a great crowd, raised over $1500 for Equality Now, and had people drive here from Reno, Los Angeles, and San Jose.
If you were there and you drove here from other cities than those mentioned, would you please email me and tell me where? Also, if you won a prize in the drawing, please email me with your name and what you won. Maybe you could even have someone take a picture of you with your prize and send it to me.
I'm off to buy an extra copy of Serenity and maybe Firefly--if any are still available.

Well ladies and gents, the big day is now here.
I just did a search for "Serenity Day" on Google and was really pleased to see how far and wide people have been spreading the signal. (Other than that weird day spa result???)
I've already got e-mail reports of people hitting the internet and local stores to go out and buy their DVDs.
Just a few friendly reminders/recommendations to help maximize our Serenity Day:
1) Use the gateway links from Browncoat related sites (like Fireflyfans.net!)
2) Donate your extra copies to www.whedonverse.org. If you want to ship directly from your online purchase, their address is:

When I first signed on to do this and help organize, I never thought this would be such a huge movement. I am constantly amazed by the spirit and generosity of Browncoats. For a fangroup that relies heavily on word-of-mouth we accomplish alot more than some people realize. Once again we are doing the impossible.
Today more than ever I am proud to call myself a Browncoat.

Happy Serenity Day!!! I just bought my mom the Series plus the BDM and I cant wait for her to watch it and fall in love like I have. I am sad that I cant go to a screening though. I do have a Firefly marathon planned today, but my husband thinks I'm crazy! Well take care all and have a shiny time doing what you're doing today.
