Soy El Diablo!

"You landed in my life Like a new and brighter light
That made all my past seem in shadow
I always used to believe That beauty was skin deep
But I need a new word to describe you
And the time that it took to take down the wall
Was the time that it took for me to fall
Hopelessly weak.

Babel Fishiness. To wit,

"it could well go behind and translate everything that you everything wrote, but I do not think that I have enough days to the left in this earth. I am so right to go to pretend I understand to me. You leave and obtain a local social life by two days and watches what happens. I discovered the other day nevertheless that a certain French love France of people but cannot even be shutdown there the life due to all damn French people... I suggested Canada, but they finish saying ' meh'. But thanks to need this page - it was books of the reading fixed to Quebec and keep saying of the things that I cannot understand. They are swear probably words, but you go there. He was going to do this in French, but decided to be difficult."

Um: gotcha. I'm right on it!

Ahora, eso que puedo entender, casi.

"I could go back and translate everything you wrote, but there aren't enough days left in the world. So, I'm just going to pretend I understand. You leave for two days to have a social life and look at what happens. I disovered the other day, nevertheless, a certain love of french(things?.) But French people cannont stop life due to all the damned french (yeah, can't make sense of that. Something about the damned french ruining life.)
I suggested Canada, but all they said was "meh."

But thanks to this page (thread?)-it was (this is unclear) books about Quebec and saying things I couldn't understand. They are probably swear words, but there you go.

I (well the verb here is 3rd person singular, but I'm gonna assume you meant "I") was going to do this in French, but decided it was too difficult."

Okay, that was my best shot. Translating something from English to bad spanish to bad english again is HARD.

Mattie, it appears the French language is not appreciated here...so, if we want to continue this, we can go elsewhere, or just write it off as a fun time.
I did enjoy it...jogged the memory a bit!
To answer in English, though:
Sevres and Maison Alforts are suburbs of Paris. I don't think I'd be able to point them out on a map anymore. I was lucky to go to the American School of Paris...the funny thing was my French teacher was actually from Saudi Arabia! I visited France and the rest of Europe almost every summer between '83 and '88, and then went back to meet my ex-wife's parents in 2000. They lived in the South, and I will agree that the Provence area is beautiful and full of friendly folk. I'm glad you got the chance to go there...just seeing Paris is not seeing the true "France"...
It has been a pleasure speaking with you, and I would love to continue, but I do not wish to risk the ire of the rest of the occupants of this thread...

The french doesn't bother me! But I'm a linguistics freak so all languages excite me.

You go away to get a social life for two days and look at what happens.

I did discover the other day that there are french people, who love France, but hate living there because of all the damn french people. I suggested Canada, but they just said 'meh'.

But thank you for pointing out this page, I'm reading books based in Quebec and they keep saying things I don't understand. They are probably all swear words anyway.

I was going to do this in french, but decided to be difficult.'

Serenity, what are your feeling on Gaeilge? I have been fascinated/obsessed with learning it since I realized I actually had Irish blood in me. Beautiful language, but oh so hard to learn...

I understand about the French thing. I may partially speak the language, but my ex-wife planted in me a hatred of almost all things French...she was French herself...

Tristan, sure, I'd love to start a new thread! That would be fun! I think we'er all fun-loving people here. It's silly if people get irked by our posts, but ah, well.
It was my pleasure! I really enjoyed speaking with you!
